Environment

Boddington regards environmental care as an integral part of its business and is committed to excellence in the management of environmental matters by developing and integrating practices that reduce the environmental impact of mining operations. These practices include measures such as reducing water and energy consumption, minimizing land disturbance and waste production, preventing soil, water, and air pollution at mine sites, and conducting successful mine closure and reclamation activities.

The principles of sustainable development involve integrating economic activity with environmental integrity, social concerns, and effective government systems with  aim to minimise environmental impacts at every stage of work from planning, through to exploration, development, mining, processing and decommissioning.

Boddington, through our personnel, will respect this Principles:

All employees and contractors are responsible for upholding principles of environmental management.

These principles have had a growing influence on the development of environmental and social policy in Boddington, and have been adopted in the NEM Group, and promoted by worldwide.

The Boddington  team strives to have a positive economic environment and social impact in Road construction and improvements, employment » we maintain our policy of employment from the countries of operation and from within our projects’ local communities», Power lines construction and Water  pump installations.

Our Firm promotes employee involvement and to this end matches employee sponsorship and donation commitments. Over the past year, over a ten dollars has been donated to various national and regional initiatives that have spanned the area of Health & Wellness, Arts & Culture, Sports & Recreation and Education.
